How did you learn calligraphy?

I have always needed a creative outlet. First sewing, then design, then decor, then calligraphy! It started out as making t-shirts for my sorority, and needing good fonts to use. Then my brother got married and needed help with decorations. From there I bought a bunch of old lettering books and watched a ton of calligraphy videos on youtube. Practiced, practiced, and practiced excessively until I felt comfortable sharing my work on Instagram. A few friends weddings and events after that and I decided to launch my business!

What pen are you using?

I use a variety of materials but my favorites are the pentel suede sign pen, the tombow dual end brush pens, decocolor oil based paint pens.

For denim jackets I use acrylic painting mixed with a little bit of textile medium.

For wood signs I use acrylic paint.

For doormats I use acrylic outdoor weatherproof paint.
